Did I put 4 or 5 cups of Flour in there?

I wonder if I'm the only one that gets busy while measuring flour and sometimes end up thinking "Did I put 4 or 5 cups in there?" and then later finding that you put either too little or too much and have wasted all the time and ingredients because of miscalculations! I have started taking my 5 pound bags of flour and immediately measuring out 1 cup, because I find that most recipes call for 1 cup increments and putting each cup in a baggy, and then place all of the baggies back into the flour bag so I will know later if it is, All Purpose, Self-Rising, Cake Flour, Pastry Flour, Duram, Whole Wheat or Semolina. Using the wrong flour for a project could make a big difference in the outcome. I then place the bag in the freezer. It takes a few minutes to get the flour measured out, but is totally worth it, I can just take the number of 1 cup bags out of the freezer and add to recipe, no muss, no fuss.

Smart Phone? What's your favorite app?

I just purchased a Smart Phone. I am really enjoying looking through the thousands of apps and seeing what I was living without with my dumb phone! The first app I downloaded was a level, when I showed it to my husband, he knew right away that he also needed a Smart Phone, I knew he'd feel that way, he can't pass up a new tool! Next it was a Barcode Scanner, so when I'm in a store and can't find a price on something, I can just scan it with my phone, and find out immediately if it's cheaper somewhere else. Love it! Of course, I had to download a bible to be able to use whenever the need arises, but, now my Pastor thinks that everyone in the congregation is bored with his sermon, because, they are looking at their cell phones! But, other than my bible my favorite app is ANGRY BIRDS!! Great therapy to fling a bird across the screen to try to know down houses full of little critters! Ok, dumb I know, but fun. I also loaded a Diet app, where I can list everything that crosses my lips and know when I have hit my days limit, I've used it two days and decided I hate it, I went over my food limits both days! I think I'll be dropping that app in the recycle bin!
